Creative Roles

Producer - Organizes the project, helps others in the team define their roles, helps the team define the audience for the project, may influence the schedule, helps focus on completing production.

Creative - Creatives inhabit many sub-roles:

• Muse: Keeps creative ideas flowing. Asks "What else?" Sparks creativity.
• Scriptwriter: the scribe who records the plot, characterization, dialogue
• Screenwriter: contributes ideas about setting, scenes, shots, camera angles, etc.
• Storyboarder: pictures the shots

Talent - Directors, actors, voiceover narrators, background walk-by characters, etc.

Production - Video, Sound and Lighting Equipment, Costumes, Props, Quality Assurance, Editing.

Documentarian - observes and records the creative process. May make suggestions about involving people, sharing roles, getting people working across roles, i.e. getting Talent to contribute ideas about the script, or Production to suggest ideas to the Talent. Smooths conflicts by suggesting compromise, alternative approaches, creative mash-ups.
