Video productions come in an infinite variety, from documentaries to narrative stories, to news. What's the most interesting way to tell the story to the audience? Doesn't it depend on who's the audience?

Storytelling: Stories revolve around the most compelling elements of the human condition. Think of typical interactions people have about their values, getting things done, who's in control or how to deal with change. A lot of tension builds as the characters work to resolve the tension. What was the lesson learned?

Documentary: This could be set in the present or the past. Something happened that's uncommonly interesting. Or someone's showing how to do something. Documentaries could focus on travel, hobbies, workplace interaction, performance improvement.

News: This is something that just happened and it has human interest. It's reported on and people want to see and hear what happened, how the people involved feel. How are they coping? Was someone given an award? Who's the heroine or hero?

Sports Commentary/Wrap-Up: Either an organized competition or used metaphorically.

Genre: This involves a popular theme such as "Western" or "Sci-Fi" or "Romantic Comedy" and helps people understand some typical roles such as "Bad Guy" or "Mad Scientist" - to speed the plot development.
